South Cornwall guided tour
This exhilarating tour commences on the Lizard Peninsula, the tip of which is the UK’s most Southerly point. Port Leven is first stop, home to one of the most photgraphed clock towers’ in the country, in particular when its stormy weather. Down the coast and we arrive at Church of St Winwaloe known also as “Church of the storm” (if we arrive on a windy day it will take your breath away!). A quick visit to Kynance Cove is recommended due to its spectacular views and unusually located cafe. Onwards to the actual peninsula where just for a moment you could be the most southerly person in the UK in addition its home to the incredible Lizard Lighthouse built on a scale rarely seen, the original RNLI station built in 1924 and the new one which replaced it in 2010 precariously perched (it seems) on the edge of the cliff. Travelling North we visit Cadgwith, the fishing port where time stood still and then on a totally different scale to Falmouth, a diverse coastal town steeped in history and home to Royal Navy Fleet Auxiliary. Time allowing, a trip on the King Harry ferry is always a treat as is a visit to the small but beautiful St Mawes .

Starting with a flying visit to beautiful St Ives, home of one of only four Tait galleries and a magnet to many a UK tourist. Down the peninsula to Botallack mine, here you will appreciate the dangers of mining, the horrendous conditions, how lives were cut short but how mining was always a thing of pride and brotherhood. Onto Minack, the spectacular cliff side, open air theatre. Learn of one womans’ vision and commitment to this unique concept. Around the corner lies Porthcurno, “one of the worlds most beautiful beaches” and the secrets that lie beneath it Then onto Mousehole, the magical fishing village steeped in history, tragedy and the will to survive. North Cornwall guided tour
A day visiting this rugged often windswept varied coastline really will take your breath away. The day starts in one of the of the (if not THE) most picturesque coastal villages in Cornwall, Boscastle. Its unique layout, stone cottages and “dark secret” make it a “must visit” on any itinerary. On to Tintagel and its links with the legend that is King Arthur. There is the option to cross the recently opened, spectacular suspension bridge and visit the island itself (cost not included) and survey this historic site. Next is Port Isaac, once a major fishing port and recently more famous for its portrayal of the grumpy GP in the TV drama Doc Martin and home to the famous Cornish folk singers the “Fisherman’s Friends”. On to Padstow where world renowned chef Rick Stein has famously (although some may say infamously) planted this picturesque fishing town on the culinary map. Finally, but certainly not least we visit the spectacular coastline at Bedruthen, its hard to surpass the breathtaking views from the clifftops and at the National Trust cafe there may even be time for a cream tea.
